The MoU is purposed to serve as the appropriate framework that defines the conditions and terms of the strategic partnership between the two main bodies. PEF was represented by its CEO, Nana Osei-Bonsu, at the signing event.

In order to secure the inclusion of smallholder farmers and vulnerable groups such as women and youth both associations agree to work together inclusively, inviting relevant actors to participate in their activities. The areas collaboration includes the following; advocacy and lobbying, capacity building, policy dialogue, improving investment climate, trade facilitation, peer to peer meetings, learning and exchange visits and agricultural stakeholder dialogue on the African continental free trade area.
